Healdout allowed me to purchase the same day with a bit of a discount, let's just say that it's inconceivable that children pay the same price as adults..(abroad children don't pay to enter museums..)in Italy in addition to paying to see our beauties we still had to queue at the entrance and make do with the bags that couldn't get in...the monument is worth it but everything else is a bit of a disincentive

We had some trouble finding parking and navigating that so we were a few minutes late to the steps, and the gentleman let us right in at the front of the line, which was so nice! What a beautiful property, totally amazed at the Pisa tower and also the fallen angel statue.
Climbing the Pisa Tower that I have read about as a child and wanted to see up close for such a long time was an incredible experience.
Unforgettable view of the Cathedral and rest of the city. Since it was March, weather was perfect and it was not crowded at all. Staff and security are all very nice. Thank you!
The ease with which we could arrive at our allotted time and climb the Tower was so convenient.
It was easy and clear to book the ticket with the suitable price.
Well worth the visit and worth booking in advance due to how quickly the spaces sell out.
Headout it was smooth with you from the beginning. The booking was very easy then I downloaded the app for the tickets.Got around Pisa with no problems at all.Thankyou so much
I had no queues and the whole organization was flawless. The information provided was very accurate.

Loved going up the leaning tower. Views were amazing. Museums were ok. Not really my thing but there were some interesting historical information. The main buildings I really wanted visit was the cathedral & Baptistery, but sadly they were not open to the public that day as there was a religious ceremony taking place. Shame as I had paid the full amount to visit all 6 buildings which is quite expensive to only be able to visit 4 of these.
Like the web site for easy access and user friendly approach. You can choose as per your convenient. Pricing was also affordable and sometimes with extra offer.
Great experience - reasonably priced and good view of Pisa. Clear information before arrival and good information on app
Everthing was oké . Maybe tell the gasts that they need to put there bats in a locker 10 min before your slot an and Go to the line 5 min prior the visit . The tower and the rest were beuatifull
It's an iconic trip but you need to leave bags in lockers away from the entrance to the tower. This wasn't clear so we wasted time taking bags to the lockets and had to requeue. The steps inside the tower are incredibly slippery. No handrails so I wouldn't recommend this trip if you have mobility issues
Cathedral tour not accessible on Sundays. Should be mentioned or included another alternative. Audio tour was tough to figure out how to download and effectively use. Lots of battery used.
The booked access was only available after a short wait. Unfortunately, the meeting point was incorrectly marked; without asking, we would have missed our slot.

Punctuality, thoroughness, beauty, excellent organization except that we didn't know we had to drop off our handbags before the tour.

It was very easy to book the tickets and access them without needing paper copies like I saw so many people with. It made it very conventional to access all areas of the Square of Miracles.
RAS Everything went very smoothly, no need to change the ticket. We showed up in front of the tower with the reservation. I'd recommend it!

We were able to access all of the sites at the Pisa Monumental Complex with ease. We also had tickets to climb the tower but opted to not climb it due to my husbands knee injury. Otherwise, I'd recommend this ticket purchase to anyone looking to do any self guided tours at their own pace.
All was good. So good that tickets are already available
The Tower was more exciting than anticipated. Headout was super easy to use
Easy ticket booking. I'm like this app worldwide
We loved seeing the cathedral and the outside of the tower but were disappointed going in didn't work out.

We liked everything. It was a great experience, glad we climbed the tower.

Very helpful and friendly guides, and very knowledgeable. We got to see some beautiful parts of the cathedral and the view from the tower is amazing.
Booking was easy and the guide was enthusiastic and informative.
The place remains magical... just that we would have liked more historical elements... we were a bit disappointed.

The guided tour. The lady doing the tour was very passionate and gave lots of valuable historical information
Our guide was prompt and took time to explain the attractions.
The guide was not there and they asked me for the printed tickets until we went to the information center and they contacted the guide and found him and we could only go to the Pisa Tower and we missed the Cathedral.

The tour was great! Our guide Alessia was more than the best guide I have ever met, she was smiley, attentive, very well informed and really great! I would deffinitely recommend her!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions.
We had a wonderful guide which added historical context to what we saw. Really enjoyed the Cathedral and Cemetary history. The weather was great and we had a good time exploring.
Our guide should be in Italian, it was the only one available when I booked. However, our guide also speeks English and this change that she did in the last minute was awesome (my husband and I we are Brazilian, we don't speek Italian but we speek English). It saved our tour. Besides that, she had great sense of humour and gave us a lot of information about Pisa and all the monuments. We rlhqd a great tome with her!!!
This tour xompany was a great find. Our tour guide Andrea was excellent, very knowledgeable, funny and on point with everything. She was prompt, cordial and knew so much about the area. We were able to visit all the sites and had a great time. Will definitely book again with this company if the ocassion arises.
I liked the implication and passion of the guide. The details she offered us helped to better understand the value of the place.

It was very good a lot of history The guide was very good a lot of information. Easy access to all the venues Good experience overall.
The explanation of the guide was excellent, my daughter learned many things, I could not do the tour because I had an accident in Rome and could not move, I understand that I could not support me, neither you nor in Italy, it seems that they are prepared to assist a person because they do not have services and being a Sunday and in high season because they were too busy but I was close and I could hear the explanations of the guide, I hope in the future to make the visit.

Founder
Founded in 1152 by architect Diotisalvi, the Pisa Baptistry is the largest baptistery in Italy and one of the most architecturally intriguing religious structures in Europe. It was built to serve as the ceremonial gateway to the Pisa Cathedral, where all faithful were baptized before entering the church.
Must-see highlights
Unmissable spots of the monument include the octagonal baptismal font, the marble pulpit sculpted by Nicola Pisano in 1260, a masterpiece considered foundational to the Renaissance, and the upper gallery offering panoramic views of the baptistry’s soaring dome and the nearby cathedral.
Current use
Today, the Baptistry is still used for ceremonial baptisms and remains consecrated.
Unique facts
Its double-domed structure creates an extraordinary echo lasting several seconds, turning every sound into a musical experience. It also represents a stylistic bridge between Romanesque and Gothic architecture, with construction spanning over 200 years and reflecting the evolution of medieval art and design.

Tickets can be upgraded to include access.
Budget-friendly access to all monuments.
Guided tours
Some guided tours offer access, while others can be upgraded to include access.

Ideal if travelling from Florence
Here's a sneak peek into the planning, architecture and unique features that went into Italy's largest baptistery.
Construction began in 1152 in Romanesque style and was completed in the 14th century with Gothic additions, including pointed arches and elaborate detailing. The result is a rare architectural fusion.
The inner and outer domes create a natural echo chamber, allowing sound to reverberate for up to 10 seconds. This feature continues to awe visitors during acoustic demonstrations.
The Baptistry is clad in white and grey marble, with blind arcades, columns, and statuary echoing the design language of the cathedral yet possessing its own distinct identity.
Original architect of the Baptistry, who also designed the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Pisa.
Sculptor of the pulpit whose classical influences and detailed carvings marked a major shift toward Renaissance-style sculpture in Europe.
Famed scientist baptized here, symbolically linking this religious monument to the city’s legacy of scientific discovery and brilliance.

Yes, guided tours add depth with insights into the art, architecture, and history, especially features like Pisano’s pulpit and the acoustics.
Aim to set aside at least 1 hour for a comfortable and relaxed visit to the Baptistery.
The baptistry stands out for its unique blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, stunning acoustics, and Nicola Pisano’s revolutionary pulpit—considered a milestone in Western art. It offers a quieter, more contemplative experience compared to the Tower and adds rich historical and artistic context to the whole square.
The Pisa Baptistry was built for the Christian rite of baptism. In medieval times, baptisms were conducted separately from the main cathedral, often in a dedicated structure like this. It was where infants and new believers were baptized before being allowed to enter the church community.
Unlike the Duomo dome and similar to the Rome Pantheon dome, you can only gaze up and appreciate the architecture of the structure, but you cannot climb it.
Yes, unlike the Leaning Tower which forbids access to children below the age of 8, the baptistry is open to children.
