I loved seeing the fabulous historic buildings and I was very pleased with the staff of the complex who were very helpful.
Everything worked well. There was supposed to be a ticket redemption point between the Baptistery and the cathedral. As there wasn't one, we went straight to the entrance of the cathedral with our online ticket and got in without any problems. We found this information a little confusing. The monumental complex is very interesting and very impressive.

The place is amazing and everything was super easy with the Headout tickets 👌
The ease with which we could arrive at our allotted time and climb the Tower was so convenient.
The pizza tower was so cool! It was a very cool experience to get to walk up to the very top and look at the city from that vantage point.
Easy access to audio guides. We didn't have to queue and the locker service is very well thought out. The information is clear and precise, so you can really enjoy the beauty of the place.

Climbing up the leaning tower was quite an experience! You can feel it when walking up the stairs and descending 😀😀 During our visit to baptistery, an employee sang and it was nice to hear the acoustic inside the building.
After payment, you receive your ticket directly in your mailbox, so there's no need to make any exchanges. A single ticket for 6 visits for 4 people is very practical. The site itself is splendid, and the passage through the tower is very surprising, as you can feel it leaning under your feet. A great day out for us.

Unique experience, we had a great time and especially also the visit to the tower super punctual as time and we didn't even queue all that much. As a price super cheap and 100% worth it

That with the generated code I was able to enter everything. I didn't have to redeem anything or look for anyone. That made everything easier. Even with that QR you can enter the bathroom and the locker where they ask you to leave your belongings.

When I checked the website, it mentioned that only children above the age of 8 can climb the tower. When buying the tickets via Headout, it stated that only 11-99 requires a ticket. My child is 9-year-old. Hence, I only bought two tickets, one for me and the other for my wife. I emailed the headout support team to confirm whether or not my child would need a ticket. I was informed that my child didn't need one. When I got there, it turned out that anyone climbing the tower will need a ticket if they are 8 and above.
We don't think it's OK if the ticket only allows a free visit to the toilet. After all, there is so much to see with the ticket that you can spend the whole day there. And I don't know anyone who only has to go to the toilet once a day. The friendliness of the staff is very poor.

It was very easy to use tickets, we had access to all attractions. Convenient way to see Pisa and its highlights. We enjoyed our time in Pisa!
Loved going up the leaning tower. Views were amazing. Museums were ok. Not really my thing but there were some interesting historical information. The main buildings I really wanted visit was the cathedral & Baptistery, but sadly they were not open to the public that day as there was a religious ceremony taking place. Shame as I had paid the full amount to visit all 6 buildings which is quite expensive to only be able to visit 4 of these.
Everthing was oké . Maybe tell the gasts that they need to put there bats in a locker 10 min before your slot an and Go to the line 5 min prior the visit . The tower and the rest were beuatifull
A special experience....and you really should have a stable circulation 😂

The tour was great! Our guide Alessia was more than the best guide I have ever met, she was smiley, attentive, very well informed and really great! I would deffinitely recommend her!
Our guide was very knowledgeable and could answer all of our questions.
Very helpful and friendly guides, and very knowledgeable. We got to see some beautiful parts of the cathedral and the view from the tower is amazing.
We had a wonderful guide which added historical context to what we saw. Really enjoyed the Cathedral and Cemetary history. The weather was great and we had a good time exploring.
Our guide should be in Italian, it was the only one available when I booked. However, our guide also speeks English and this change that she did in the last minute was awesome (my husband and I we are Brazilian, we don't speek Italian but we speek English). It saved our tour. Besides that, she had great sense of humour and gave us a lot of information about Pisa and all the monuments. We rlhqd a great tome with her!!!
This tour xompany was a great find. Our tour guide Andrea was excellent, very knowledgeable, funny and on point with everything. She was prompt, cordial and knew so much about the area. We were able to visit all the sites and had a great time. Will definitely book again with this company if the ocassion arises.
I liked the implication and passion of the guide. The details she offered us helped to better understand the value of the place.
It was very good a lot of history The guide was very good a lot of information. Easy access to all the venues Good experience overall.
The guide was engaging and energetic. She was well informed and made the experience one that my husband and I will talk about for years to come!!
Founder: Founded in 1152 by architect Diotisalvi, the Pisa Baptistery is the largest baptistery in Italy and one of the most architecturally intriguing religious structures in Europe. It was built to serve as the ceremonial gateway to the Pisa Cathedral, where all faithful were baptized before entering the church.
Must-see highlights: Unmissable spots of the monument include the octagonal baptismal font, the marble pulpit sculpted by Nicola Pisano in 1260, a masterpiece considered foundational to the Renaissance, and the upper gallery offering panoramic views of the baptistry’s soaring dome and the nearby cathedral.
Current use: Today, the Baptistery is still used for ceremonial baptisms and remains consecrated.
Unique facts: Its double-domed structure creates an extraordinary echo lasting several seconds, turning every sound into a musical experience. It also represents a stylistic bridge between Romanesque and Gothic architecture, with construction spanning over 200 years and reflecting the evolution of medieval art and design.

Pisa Leaning Tower and Cathedral Guided Tour
Here's a sneak peek into the planning, architecture and unique features that went into Italy's largest baptistery.
Construction began in 1152 in Romanesque style and was completed in the 14th century with Gothic additions, including pointed arches and elaborate detailing. The result is a rare architectural fusion.
The inner and outer domes create a natural echo chamber, allowing sound to reverberate for up to 10 seconds. This feature continues to awe visitors during acoustic demonstrations.
The Baptistery is clad in white and grey marble, with blind arcades, columns, and statuary echoing the design language of the cathedral yet possessing its own distinct identity.
Original architect of the Baptistery, who also designed the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Pisa.
Sculptor of the pulpit whose classical influences and detailed carvings marked a major shift toward Renaissance-style sculpture in Europe.
Famed scientist baptized here, symbolically linking this religious monument to the city’s legacy of scientific discovery and brilliance.

Yes, guided tours add depth with insights into the art, architecture, and history, especially features like Pisano’s pulpit and the acoustics.
Aim to set aside at least 1 hour for a comfortable and relaxed visit to the Baptistery.
The baptistery stands out for its unique blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture, stunning acoustics, and Nicola Pisano’s revolutionary pulpit—considered a milestone in Western art. It offers a quieter, more contemplative experience compared to the Tower and adds rich historical and artistic context to the whole square.
The Pisa Baptistery was built for the Christian rite of baptism. In medieval times, baptisms were conducted separately from the main cathedral, often in a dedicated structure like this. It was where infants and new believers were baptized before being allowed to enter the church community.
Unlike the Duomo dome and similar to the Rome Pantheon dome, you can only gaze up and appreciate the architecture of the structure, but you cannot climb it.
Yes, unlike the Leaning Tower which forbids access to children below the age of 8, the baptistery is open to children.
